Following its July 15 introduction, Haven for Humanity (H4H) continues its close monitoring of the Dignity Act of 2025 (H.R. 4393), a bipartisan bill spearheaded by Representatives María Elvira Salazar (R-FL-27) and Veronica Escobar (D-TX-16). This wide-ranging immigration reform proposal aims to address border security, asylum procedures, lawful immigration pathways, and work authorization—seeking to balance enforcement with expanded opportunities for dignity and stability for immigrants and their families.

July 15, 2025 – The Dignity Act of 2025 was formally introduced in the House of Representatives with 21 original bipartisan cosponsors (10 Republicans and 11 Democrats). The bill was referred to seven committees, including Judiciary; Homeland Security; Ways and Means; Transportation & Infrastructure; Education & Workforce; Oversight & Government Reform; and Armed Services.
